What's not to love at the Ancaster Fair

Steve was away one weekend so I took it upon myself to immerse the girls in some local culture. Not sure what the local culture might be I opted to try my hand (or should I say 'our hands') at 'Fair going'. We headed out the door on the Saturday morning ready for the rain that we knew was coming and went to the Ancaster Fair. For those of you unfamiliar with these parts I must tell you that this wasn't just a fair where people go to eat crappy food and ride on questionably assembled amusement rides. No, this was a true country fair with every barn yard animal imaginable primped and preened for judging competitions, homemade preserve competitions, horse rides, horse shows, horse information booths, and yes, you guessed it, horse shit.

We had a fantastic time and even though it did rain our enthusiasm wasn't dampened. Eliza got some 'one on one' time with some newly hatched chicks, Chloe got to ride a horse named Sunny, we all enjoyed the judging during the miniature pony competition (there so cute them there little horses) and Chloe managed to burn the $10 in my pocket on fair ground kiddie rides each lasting about 1 minute and costing $2 a piece....criminals!!!!!

The funniest thing by far was watching Eliza educate herself on the proper positioning for a character board.....refer to pic below:

"Now something just doesn't seem right...."

"Much better, this is starting to make sense...sort of....actually not really......how does this entertain me....I truely do not know."
